I spent the morning in the garden before heading out for my day at Fraser Crescent School to talk to the students. I had a late lunch at Mojo on Kent Terrace in the city before I checked into my hotel the Halswell Lodge.

This evening I am to dine with Gretchen and Gary at their home in Johnsonville. It is quite a supper with the other guests being the lady from the Ministry (of education), a doctor and an artist. It is great fun and we set the world to rights over supper. I even get my first taste of a New Zealand delicacy, Hokey Pokey.
